Visit to the Royal Hospital Chelsea Summer 19

Members enjoyed a well supported visit to the Royal Hospital Chelsea during the summer. Our excellent guide provided an informative tour of the hospital.

Inter-Probus Lunch 2019

Every two years the five local Probus clubs meet for lunch and this year the event was held at Mid-Sussex Golf Club, organised this time by the Cuckfileld and Lindfield club. Just under a hundred Probus members attended, including twenty from Mid-Sussex Probus Club.

Croquet - July 2019

24 members and wives enjoyed a splendid afternoon of croquet recently, followed by dinner at the Red Lion Handcross. We are grateful to Fred Wood for his excellent organisation, and to the Plumers for strawberries and cream.

Walk at Nymans - June 2019

11 members enjoyed a leisurely 3 mile stroll around Nymans. The weather was perfect, and organiser Andrew Wimbush adjusted the pace to suit all participants. Some members joined Eileen Sawyer for a short walk and coffee in Nymans instead of Andrews’ longer walk.

An excellent morning followed by lunch at the Red Lion, Handcross.

Annual Croquet Match: June 2025

Our croquet match, held at Crawley Croquet Club, has become a highlight of the club's annual activities. This years event was as hard fought as usual in perfect weather.

The photo shows this year's winners, Mike Kirk and Don Miller-Jones, receiving the cup from last years winner David Sawyer. The match was followed by Strawberries and Cream, provided by Don and his wife Sue: a perfect end to the day.
